Lacquerhead Polish Ashlyn, Brooklyn, In The Moonlight and Mixed Signals Reviews & Swatches

Hey look a much early post than yesterday! :P I had some problems with my new camera and had to return it. Booo! So while I hunt for another replacement I am back using my DSLR for close ups again. Hopefully they will suffice, while I make up my overly picky self tries to pick out another camera. At least some Lacquerhead Polish always cheers me up in times of my crazy life! :P

Ashlyn is a dark chocolate holographic polish. All nails are 3 coats with no top coat.
First off, how cute is it that this polish is named after Alischia's, the creator of Lacquerhead Polish, niece! This polish dried quickly and is holo-rific. ;) I don't have OPI My Private Jet (the holo version) to compare this too, but I do think it's a bit lighter than it from photos. Nevertheless, it's a great unique colored holo! :)
Brooklyn is a purple holographic polish. I used 3 coats with no top coat.
Again, another fun named polish that comes from Alishcia's daughter! The color is a lighter, less plum colored than Lacquerhead's Plum Crazy and clearly this polish has much more of a holo effect than Plum Crazy. I still love my Lacquerhead jellies, don't get me wrong though! :P It dried quickly and of course gave off a great holo finish.
In The Moonlight has a clear base with holographic teal moons, squares and hexes in various sizes and small silver holographic hexes. All nails are 1 coat of In The Moonlight over 3 coats of Lacquerhead Brooklyn and top coat of Seche Vite.
Love this glitter bomb! The teal colors and the moons just make it beautiful! No fishing at all required and you can get plenty of moons, and any of the glitter for that matter out, in little as one coat. Dry time was average, but all the glitters sat nice a flat on the nail.
Mixed Signals is a duochrome that shifts from pink to blue to purple and red. In this photo I have 1 coat of Mixed Signal over 1 coat of Wet N Wild Ebony Hates Chris on my index nail, on my middle nail is 1 coat over 2 coats of Lacquerhead Polish Blueberry Yum-Yum, 3 coats of Mixed Signals on it's own on my ring nail and 1 coat over 2 coats of Wet n Wild French White on my pinky nail. All nails have a top coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri.
As you can see this polish has a variety of options you can do with it! I personally loved it over Blueberry Yum Yum! This polish does dry quickly and there aren't any problems with it having pigment clumps in it. It can be a bit streaky in 1 coat,  but it does even it's self out pretty well once dry and with a top coat. In my experience, with creme-like duochromes, Seche Vite does not play well with it when it is not almost, or completely dry, it can cause it to "crinkle" or make waves in the finish. I can report Instra-Dri does not cause these problems. ;) The color is amazing and I'm sure anyone that does nail art could make some beautiful butterfly wings with it! ;)
