Lacquerhead Polish Blue Bayou, Lilac You Mean It & Lemon Sugar Cuticle Oil

Hi guys! I know I've been a horrible blogger lately. I blame the nice weather and Pinterest for giving me way too many ideas to spruce up the outside of our house. :P If you haven't seen already, Lacquerhead Polish makes some amazing holos and a few drew me in last week when I went on a mini etsy buying spree. So I'm here today to show them off. :)
Lacquerhead Polish Blue Bayou, Lilac You Mean It & Lemon Sugar Cuticle Oil
Lacquerhead Polish Blue Bayou Swatch
Blue Bayou has a rich blue base with 2 grades of spectra flair. All nails are 2 coats with top coat.

Love this polish! It's an amazing bright blue, perfect formula, it's super holo (my camera freaked a bit as you can see in the first photo because of this) and while I did use 1 coat of base coat under it, I was able to wear it for 2 days and experienced no staining when I took it off. What's not to love! ;)

Lacquerhead Polish Lilac You Mean It Swatch
Lilac You Mean it has a spectra flair alternative in a dusty purple base. Shown is 2 coats with top coat.

Another polish Alischia , the creator behind Lacquerhead Polish, knocked out of the park! Really nothing more than I can say than that. :P

Lacquerhead Polish Lemon Sugar Cuticle Oil
If you follow Lacquerhead Polish on Facebook, you should have seen that Alischia mentioned updating her already awesome cuticle oils with new packaging. They now come with new labels and shrink wrapped. One new scent she's added to her line up is Lemon Sugar. It a perfect scent for spring. Though the biggest downside to these oils are they smell so good you will want to eat them. :P

It seems that Blue Bayou is currently out of stock in Lacquerhead Polish's Etsy shop, but everything else in this post can be found there! Make sure to follow Lacquerhead Polish on FacebookInstagram and Twitter!

Lacquerhead Polish Double Vision, Holo Daze and Zed's Dead, Baby Reviews & Swatches

Whoops time has slipped away from me today! Nevertheless I have 3 gorgeous holos from Lacquerhead Polish to share with you all today!

Instead of reading that all these polishes had perfect formulas, I'll just let you know now that they did. ;)

Lacquerhead Polish Double Vision SwatchDouble Vision is a multi-chrome polish that shifts from blue to purple and red with a super holographic finish. All nails are 3 coats with top coat.
Lacquerhead Polish Double Vision Swatch
Holyyyyy cow this polish is a stunner! Sorry the first photo isn't completely in focus, my camera freaked a little :P, but I thought it showed it off really well. :) This polish is limited edition and I recommend buying it now

Lacquerhead Polish Holo Daze Swatch
Holo Daze (formally known as Happy Holo Daze) has a somewhat frosty green base with a holographic finish. All nails are 3 coats with top coat.
Lacquerhead Polish Holo Daze Swatch
Since the base of this polish is a little on the frosty side, the holographic isn't as strong as Double Vision, but it's still very holo and a gorgeous green! :)
Lacquerhead Polish Zed's Dead, Baby Swatch
Zed's Dead, Baby is described as a deep blue mica polish with a ultra fine holographic pigment. Shown is 2 coats with top coat.

Similar to Holo Daze, the base of this polish hides the holographic finish just a tad. You will still see the holo though, so don't worry! The base also has an awesome blue glow to it, so you can really blind people with your nails. :P
These three holos and more are available through Lacquerhead Polish's Etsy shop, along with many other great polishes! Follow Lacquerhead Polish on FacebookInstagram and Twitter!

Lacquerhead Polish Behind Blue Eyes, Wicked Attraction and You Need More Wine Reviews & Swatches

Ok let's try this catching up thing one more time! In the midst of trying to catch up last week, my computer's hard drive failed again. If you are keeping a tally on me this is the 6th time. -_- Luckily if nothing else I have become a fiend about backing up so I didn't lose any of my swatches. ;) Now I have swatches for 40+ polishes to sit down and edit, watermark and write up posts about; so that means if all goes well more posts this week!

Now onto what you are really here to see and read about, polish! Lacquerhead Polish has been pumping out a lot of new or updated colors lately and I have 3 new ones to share today. So onto the polish!

Behind Blue Eyes has a bright blue base with fine scattered holographic glitters. Shown is 3 coats with top coat.
I would buy this polish for the base color alone! :P I'm always a sucker for a great royal blue, but the added glitters really make it even more amazing than just another royal blue! Formula was great and you could probably get away with 2 thicker coats, I'm always a thin coater, instead of 3 coats. It does dry with a rubbery finish, so if you want a glassy look a top coat will do the trick. :)
Wicked Attraction is described as an ultra fine holographic glitter topcoat with different sizes of pink and purple glitters. In these photos I used 2 thin coats over 3 coats of Behind Blue Eyes with an accent nail of 1 coat of Wicked Attraction dabbed on over bare nail.
Wicked Attraction is very versatile, as you can see. :) I love it over Behind Blue Eyes, but you can put it over a ton of different colors or just have it on it's own. Formula wasn't too thick or too thin and dried quickly. I can see now in my macro shots that I didn't quite fill in my accent nail all the way. In person though, I didn't notice because I was too blinded by the sparkles! :P
You Need More Wine is a deep red-burgundy jelly with scattered gold holographic glitter. All nails are 3 coats with top coat.
I never need more wine; I'll take this polish instead! Random factoid about me: I can't drink wine because my brain thinks it should taste just like grape juice and it doesn't. I have the same thing with beer and thinking it should taste like apple juice. Haha Enough about me! The glitters in this polish give it a fiery look, you know without actual burning of the nails though. ;) Formula was again great, but like Behind Blue Eyes will need a top coat for a glossy finish.
All of these polishes are in stock now through Lacquerhead Polish's Etsy shop. She also has added some new holos and revamped versions of previous holos (they are more holo-rific now!), so be sure to check those out! Follow Lacquerhead Polish onFacebookInstagram and Twitter!

Lacquerhead Polish Valentine's Day Collection 2014 Reviews & Swatches

Happy Friday! I'm spending my weekend playing catch up with swatches, emails and comments. Hopefully with my little one at grandma's for the weekend, I'll be able to get everything done! :P
I love Valentine's Day collections and this one from Lacquerhead Polish is no exception! :D

Hugs and Kisses is a white crelly with red, pink and purple holographic glitters. All nails are 3 coats with top coat. I also added some x's and o's (hugs and kisses!) with Mi Amor to a few nails.
I haven't used a white "crelly" in what feels like awhile, so it was nice to see Hugs and Kisses in Lacquerhead's Valentine's Day collection. :) And it did not disappoint in overall look or formula! :D
I Heart You! is a glitter mix with holographic red hearts, gold circle dots and ultra fine red and gold glitter. Shown is 1 coat over 3 coats of Mi Amor with top coat.
Nothing says Valentine's Day like gold and red! :) I Heart You! has enough bling in case you don't get any flashy jewelry on February 14th. ;) Formula was great and even the larger circle glitters came out easily. :)
Mi Amor is a hot pink mica based polish with scattered silver holographic pigment. These photos are 3 coats with top coat. On my ring nail is a heart done with Hugs and Kisses. :)
Loveeeee this polish! Funny enough when I first started frankening I tried to make a color like this and failed miserably. :P Mine was much too opaque and didn't allow the holographic glitters to shine through. I didn't have the right touch Lacquerhead does. ;) Formula was great wonderful! It does dry a semi-matte, so you will want to top coat it for a glossy look, but otherwise nothing to report. :P
Find these polishes, and more, through Lacquerhead Polish's Etsy shop. While you are there make sure to check out her awesome cuticle oils! They ship free with any order and Buttercream Frosting would be a yummy Valentine Day treat for yourself or someone else. ;) Make sure to follow Lacquerhead Polish on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!

Lacquerhead Polish Halloween 2013 Collection Reviews & Swatches

Still chugging along trying to beat whatever this bug is I have caught :( Hopefully it goes away soon because we finally found a place to move into!! Woo-hoo! Anywho, I have Lacquerhead Polish's new Halloween collection to share today! :)

Countdown To Candy has a white "crelly" base with various orange, red and yellow glitters; including circle glitter. These photos are 3 coats with top coat.
Ah candy corn, my number one reason for loving Halloween! I already have at least 4 bags stashed away and promptly ate all the pieces I used for the bottle shot when I was done with it! :P Enough of my love for candy corn and back to this polish. ;) Countdown To Candy was super easy to work with and looks super yummy on my nails...and reminds me of candy corn♥! :P
Franken-Tastic is a mixture of  neon green, black, orange and purple glitters accented with black skulls and green neon stars. All nails are 2 coats over 3 coats of CoverGirl Rogue Red.
Anything to do with Frankenstein, sign me up!! I even have a tattoo of the Bride of Frankenstein. ;) Franken-Tastic's glitters are sure to make you stand out during Halloween and get your nails noticed no matter where you are. :) I did have a problem with the larger black hexes curling a bit, but they smoothed out with top coat and I had no problems at all getting out any skull glitter. :)
Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun contains an assortment of white, pink and pastel glitters with white and pink skulls throughout. Shown is 2 coats over 3 coats of CoverGirl Pyro Pink.
A girly glitter mix isn't something you normally see during Halloween, but I think with the fun skulls it works! :) Even though it doesn't show in my photos, in person the glitters "popped" better over my base color. :/ Hopefully you can tell that in the close up shots below. Still, this is a great glitter mix for Halloween and beyond! Like Franken-Tastic the skulls came out super easy! :)
If You've Got It Haunt It has a mixture of holographic charcoal glitters, rainbow glitters and holographic silver moons. All nails are 1 coat over 2 coats of Sugar High.
I'm always a sucker for those moon glitters! ;) And with all the other holographic glitters you are sure to bling someone while trick-or-treating! :P Again wonderful formula and I had no troubles getting out any of the moon glitters. :)
Let's Go Out For A Bite... contains red holographic squares and hexes in a deep, dark red jelly base. For these photos I used 2 coats with top coat.
Halloween wouldn't be Halloween without a nice vampy color, now would it? ;) The holographic glitters add a nice "spark" against the jelly base and make your nails look good enough to eat. :P
Sugar High is a candy corn scented, neon orange creme with sparse holographic glitters. Shown is 2 coats with top coat.
Not only does this polish smell yummy, it's super bright and amazing to look at! :) Apparently it glows under black light, sadly I don't have a black light. >_< I  still have some visible nail line at 2 coats in certain lighting, so you might want to try 3 coats if that bugs you. ;) Nevertheless, this is a MUST have for Halloween!
P.S. My camera used for the close ups below gave it a red tint. It does not have this tint in real life and is a super bright orange! ;)
Witches Be Crazy is described as a mix of metallic orange and holo orange hexes with metallic rainbow glitter scattered throughout. All nails are 1 coat of Witches Be Crazy over 3 coats of CoverGirl Sulfur Blaze.
I had a good laugh for awhile after I saw the name of this polish! :P It's a fun glitter mix and I got plenty of glitter out in just one coat! :)
Lacquerhead also has a new cuticle oil in stock for this Halloween season perfectly scented, candy corn! I'll try not to eat my fingers off, no promises though! ;)

All of these polishes, plus tons more, are available through Lacquerhead Polish's Etsy shop. This weekend only use the code TRYME to get a free cuticle oil with any $15.00 purchase! All her cuticle oils ship free, so why not try one! ;) Make sure to follow Lacquerhead Polish on Facebook and Twitter!
