I fully planned to use my new camera for these swatches, I just still haven't gotten the hang of it completely! :P I did take the close up shots with it and they look tons better, at least I think so. ;) Today I have a few polishes from Cagebird Lacquer to share. Sarah, the creator of Cagebird Lacquer, makes some beautiful polishes and look how darn cute the bottles and labels are!
Lovesome has a clear base with pastel pink and hot pink matte glitters and pink hearts. All nails are 1 coat of Lovesome over 3 coats of Love & Beauty by Forever 21Violet with a top coat of Seche Vite.
Formula and application was perfect! I loved all the glitter I was able to get with just one coat and it dried quickly. Now you may noticed my nails lack any heart glitters. After speaking with Sarah, she told me that the hearts are meant to be sparse to help stand out from the other Valentine's Day polishes on the market. Even without the hearts, the color of the glitters are a great mix and I love that Sarah made them sparse so you could wear it anytime of the year!
Pastoral is described as a clear based glitter nail lacquer filled with matte mint, white, lavender, and pastel green and silver metallic glitters. I used 2 coats over 2 coats of Orly La Vida Loca with a top coat of Seche Vite.
Again a perfect formula with no need to fish for glitters. The added silver metallic glitters really make this polish unique and add an extra "spark" to the matte glitters. Over a pink base it reminds me of a Valentine's Day/St. Patrick's Day/spring mash up and really looks great! I think the cute bottles and with Valentine's Day around the corner I was in a pink/purple/red base color mood. :P
