Initial Lacquer Winter 2013 Collection Reviews & Swatches

I hope all my stateside readers are full and happy after a great Thanksgiving feast! :D I have even more swatches to share with you this evening, this time the new winer collection from Initial Lacquer! :)

Counting Stars is described as a black jelly base with random color flakies. Shown is 3 coats with top coat.
In low light this polish does appear just to be black, but in the sun it really sparkles. :) Formula was great and it's a nice twist on a black polish!
First Day of Winter is a light blue crelly base with matte white rectangles and hexes, yellow hexes and hot pink dots. All nails are 2 coats with top coat.
I wish the real day of winter had pink dots! ;) I love the small rectangles in this mix (you can see them in the next polish too!) and how they are too large but still are something fun and different. :) Formula  of First Day of Winter was pretty thick and I did need to thin it a tad to get it to flow onto my nail easier. I think the overall look is worth it though! :)
Frozen Rainbow has a clear base with a mixture of white, pale yellow, gray, yellow, hot pink and purple matte glitters in various shapes and sizes. These photos show 2 coats of Frozen Rainbow over 3 coats of LWP.
Frozen Rainbow just sounds yummy doesn't it? :P This polish does look good enough to eat too! ;) It is a tad thick, yet I had no problem getting out any of the glitters and they are look so beautiful together! :D
Golden Glow is a combination of black, silver and gold holographic hexes in various sizes all in a clear base. Here is 1 coat of Golden Glow over 3 coats of Counting Stars.
Holy bling! :P Not only is it super bling-tastic, it has some awesome larger dots and hexes! It was a tad thick though it was easy to get out all of the glitters including the larger ones, but I think it should be called Blinding Gold instead! :P
LWP (or Little White Polish) contains gold, silver and iridescent glitters in a white base. All nails are 3 coats with top coat.
Hehe the acronym for LWP is too cute! :D Initial Lacquer has a knack for making beautiful white polishes with an added touch! While I couldn't capture the sparks this polish has, they are there and very soft and subtle. I think this is a perfect work appropriate polish, if you are in the market for one! :) To top is off formula was a breeze to work with.
Nocturne is described as a deep grey with silver shimmer plus micro holographic glitters. Here is 2 coats with top coat.
Love this polish! It's not too dark and the added sparks really make it something else! :) Formula was super easy to work with and I got plenty of glitters out with each coat!
Red Steel has a shimmery red base with mirco fine red, black holo and red circle glitter. Shown is 2 coats with top coat
Another great color! The glitters compliment each other and the base color well.  You do have to be careful to do a little bit thinner coats so the shimmery base and glitters don't give off a "lumpy" look, but the formula made this easy to do and was overall easy to work with. :)
Star Align contains purple and silver holographic hexes in a deep blurple base with red shimmer. All nails are 2 coats with top coat.
This polish reminds me of The Rainbow Fish, hopefully I'm not the only one to see that! ;) Formula was a tad on the thicker side, but workable and the glitters show through the base color perfectly. :)
