Zoya Awaken Collection Reviews & Swatches

Hi guys! I hope everyone has a fun day planned, mine will be a little bitter sweet. Today I'm enrolling my little one in pre-school. It's a little weird for me because he wasn't supposed to grow up this fast....and I don't like feeling this old! >_<
Today I have the new Zoya collection that really screams Spring, which is nice because we've had some awesome weather here. I've very much enjoyed being able to sit on my back porch in shorts watching my little one run burn off a lot of energy. :P

Zoya Awaken Collection
Zoya Brooklyn Swatch
Brooklyn is gold-toned yellow shimmer metallic. These photos show 3 coats with no top coat.
Zoya Brooklyn Swatch
Formula of Brooklyn was great. It does dry with a satiny finish, so if you like it more glossy I would recommend a top coat. Personally I liked the finish because it added to the look of it. ;)  As you can see it can leave behind some brushstrokes, but again I thought they went nicely with the color and weren't too harsh with 3 coats. Overall I do like the color because it's a gold that didn't give me "lobster hands". :P
Zoya Brooklyn Swatch
Zoya Cole Swatch
Cole is described as a peach whisper cream. Shown is 3 coats with no top coat.
Zoya Cole Swatch
I wasn't a fan of this polish with it's consistency or the overall color. Even though it applied very patchy, it did self level but it had a bit longer dry time as the coats added up. I used a thicker coat for my last coat or I think I would have needed 4 to even everything out. The color doesn't work with my skin tone, I think it's better suited for ladies with darker complexions. :)
Zoya Cole Swatch
Zoya Dillon Swatch
Dillon has a mint green base with a metallic finish and silver shimmer. Here is 3 coats with no top coat.
Zoya Dillon Swatch
Dillion, Hudson and Rebel were the polishes I was most excited about in this collection and they really don't disappoint!  Formula was excellent and it's an awesome color. I will say with all three to be careful during application so you have as little as clean up as possible. They are all packed with shimmer so even having to clean up a little bit will leave you shimmer everywhere.
Zoya Dillon Swatch
Zoya Dot Swatch
Dot is a light baby pink creme. All nails are 4 coats with no top coat.
Zoya Dot Swatch
Similar to Cole, the formula of Dot is a little off. It's very thin and applies patchy. Also with every added layer the dry time became longer. I found myself bumping my nails over and over again thinking they were dry when they weren't. >_< I do like the color, just don't like the work that goes into it.
Zoya Dot Swatch
Zoya Hudson Swatch
Hudson is described as a purple orchid metallic with a silver shimmer. Shown is 3 coats with no top coat.
Zoya Hudson Swatch
Just like Dillion, Hudson applied flawlessly and the over all color is gorgeous. I can't say more than that! :P
Zoya Monet Swatch
Monet has a clear base with multi-colored cellophane glitter. These photos show 1 ½ coats over 2 coats of Zoya Robyn.
Zoya Monet Swatch
I wasn't a huge fan of Monet over the other polishes from this collection and decided to grab another from my stash to show it off. ;) I personally think it looks best over a darker, solid colored creme because the glitters can really pop. Formula was very thick and goopy. One coat didn't get that much glitter on some nails so the ½ coat comes from a few pieces I had to dab on here and there.
Zoya Rebel Swatch
Rebel is a sky blue metallic with silver shimmer. All nails are 3 coats.
Zoya Rebel Swatch
Once again, like Dillon and Hudson there was no application issues with Rebel. I think this maybe my favorite in the entire collection! I'm usually a bigger fan of purples, but this polish is pretty darn dreamy. ;)Zoya Rebel Swatch
Zoya Awaken Nail Art
While my gradient with Dillon, Rebel and Hudson didn't come out exactly how I wanted, I think they go pretty well together. :) To mix it up I added a bow with Rebel and Cole over Dot as an accent nail that makes my dream of Spring! :P
Zoya Awaken Nail Art
My picks from this collection would be Cole (It really surprised me!), Dillon, Hudson and Rebel. If nothing else, everyone sorta needs Dillon, Hudson and Rebel. ;) The other polishes in this collection I could really do without. They are nice Spring colors, just not fun formulas. :/
