Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Random Reviews & Swatches

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, my little one has been crazier and more hyperactive than normal. I wish I knew what gave him so much energy because I would gladly take some myself! :P
I have a great mix of polishes from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer to share with you all today. Julie, the creator of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer, has an amazing knack for cremes and glitters, so whatever you buy from her will not disappoint. ;) I will give you a fair warning that the last polish in the post, Sordid End, is no longer available. :( I offered Julie my soul for a mini because I missed it during the weeks I was sick and she happily accepted the offer. Ok not really, but I totally might have! :P

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer 2014 Swatch
2014 is described as an electric periwinkle with glitters and a blue to purple shift. All nails are 3 coats with top coat.

No need to adjust your eyes, that's really how this polish looks! :P Even though I think the base color alone is amazing, the added iridescent glitters add a nice pop to the overall look. Formula was easy to work with and it's pretty much to die for so go buy it! ;)
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Idealistic Future Swatch
Idealistic Future has a clear base with gold, pink, purple and red glitters in various shapes. Shown is 1 coat dabbed over 3 coats of 2014.

Even thought Valentine's Day has come and gone, I can never say no to a pink and red glitter topper! ;) And can I just say I think 2014 and Idealistic Future are a perfect couple! :) Idealistic Future was a little on the thicker side, but I didn't need to fish for any glitters (including the hearts) and it dried quickly.

I love Julie's inspiration for this polish! From the listing: "The name Matunda Ya Kwanza means "first fruits of the harvest" in Swahili, so I based this Kwanzaa inspired polish off of the colorful pieces of art, kente, kaftans, and fruits of the harvest." As for the polish itself, it's a lot of fun and the tinted base color brings even more color to an already colorful polish. :) Matunda Ya Kwanza's formula was much like it's look: awesome! :DBlue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Matunda Ya Kwanza Swatch
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Resolutions Swatch
Resolutions is described as a glitter topper with black, neon blue, green, and pink, banana yellow, watermelon, white, and sugar plum glitters in a blue shimmer base. Shown is 1 coat over 3 coats of Sordid End.

As soon as I put Resolutions on, all I could think about was the 80s! ;) It's definitely a fun and funky mix of glitters that does not disappoint. Sadly the added blue shimmer didn't show up too well over Sordid end, but you can see a bit of it in my photos below. :) Similar to Idealistic Future, Resolutions was a little on the thicker side but nothing that made application difficult. :)

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Skating in the Snow Swatch
Skating in the Snow has a white crelly base with purple and aqua hexes, iridescent glitters, and fuchsia and teal dots. All nails are 3 cots with top coat.

One thing I have yet to do after be relocated to a colder area is to go skating. I'm sure with my grace, it won't be a pretty! :P This polish is pretty though! The crelly base allows the iridescent glitters to give off a nice sparkle and the other glitters show up nicely as well. :) Formula was a tad thick, but again nothing I couldn't work with. Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Skating in the Snow Swatch
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Sordid End Swatch
Sordid End has a periwinkle base color with a strong blue to teal shimmer. These photos show 3 coats with top coat.
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Sordid End Swatch
Cry with me when I say this polish is no longer being made and is discontinued. :( It does show off the amazing polishes Julie can create though! Everything about Sordid end is amazing, so if someone is insane and puts it up for sale do not hesitate to buy it!
