OPI Taylor Blue

Did you know April is Donate Life Month? Currently, nearly 120,000 men, women and children are awaiting organ transplants in the United States. Taylor Paige Storch's life was cut tragically short at the age of 13 after a skiing accident. Yet through that tragedy she was able to help 5 other people with various organ transplants. Taylor's Gift and OPI teamed up to create this polish in her honor and to bring more awareness to organ donation.

Taylor Blue is turquiose blue creme. I used 2 coats with no top coat.
This polish, in my book, is a must have! It's a beautiful color and for a wonderful cause! :)

To purchase this polish and to read about Taylor's story visit TaylorsGift.org. You can follow Taylor's Gift on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram. If nothing else become an organ donor, there's no reason not to!

Lacquerhead Polish Gracie and My Secret Crush Reviews & Swatches

Sorry for the late post! I hope everyone had a good Tuesday, though! :) It was pretty yucky weather here. Spring weather just doesn't seem to want to stick. >_< Anyways, I have a few of Lacquerhead Polish's new colors to share you today! :)

Gracie is described as a coral blue holographic polish. I used 3 coats with no top coat.
Looking for the prettiest ocean blue holo? This is it! ;) The color alone is beautiful and holographic to it and you have perfection! Formula was perfect and it was nice and shiny with no top coat.
My Secret Crush has a "crelly" white base with a rainbow assortment of glitter including large turquoise hexes and purple hearts. All nails are 3 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.
I still love white "crelly" polishes and their ability to always remind me of birthday cake! :P My Secret Crush is no exception and it has the added bonus of large pieces of glitter and super fun purple hearts! Formula was good, I did have to use thicker coats to achieve opaqueness, this could be fixed with using a white base coat though, and did have to "fish" for some of the glitter. Really though it was very easy to fish out the glitter as most of it was on the neck of the bottle. Despite those two things, I had no problem with dry time and love the look of it! :D

Lacquerhead Polish can be purchased on Etsy. Through Saturday (4/27/13) at midnight you can use the code SPRINGCLEAN and get free shipping on all US orders! Also be sure to check out Lacquerhead Polish on Facebook, where she has a giveaway going, and Twitter.

Shimmer Polish Swatches & Reviews Part 2

Happy Monday and happy Earth Day! I have some more polishes to show you by Shimmer Polish, today. :) On my last post featuring Shimmer Polish I only included 2 photos of each, but this time around I included my normal 3 photos of each. So be warned this is picture heavy!
Like last time I had no problems whatsoever with any of the formulas. And most of them can be layered or worn alone, whichever you choose! :)

Alice has a clear base with various silver holographic glitter, including stars. Except for my ring nail, I layered 1 coat of Alice over 2 coats of Zoya Amy. My ring nail is 2 coats of Alive over bare nail. All nails have a topcoat of Seche Vite. Even though I didn't get any stars out (I didn't even realize they were in there because I was blinded by all the other holo glitter! :P), it's still a beautiful polish with or without stars. ;)
Jovie is described as a pink holographic glitter mix. Here I used 1 coat of Jovie in a gradient over Elevation Polish Sample LSA #29 and matted it with Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love.
Katie has a slightly gray tinted base with green, gray and pink glitters. All nails are 1 coat of Katie layered over 2 coats of Essence Let's Get Lost and matted with Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love.
Kelly contains a mixture of various sizes of darker green and gold glitter. I used 1 coat of Kelly over 2 coats of Liquid Sky Lacquer Sugared Berries and a top coat of Seche Vite.
Kim has a clear base with various sizes of blue, purple, red and silver glitter. All nails are 1 coat of Kim over 2 coats of Lacquerhead Polish Gracie with a top coat of HK Girl Top coat.
Leslie is described as a lavender, periwinkle glitter polish. I used 1 coat over 3 coats of Lacquerhead Polish Glow Out With Me and a top coat of Seche Vite.
Lorene has a red jelly base with a assortment of glitters in various colors. This is 2 coats over bare nail and a top coat of Seche Vite.
Tricia is primarily up of bright orange glitter and also contains gold, blue, silver and iridescent glitters.  All nails are 2 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.

I have a second post for today in honor of the Paint It Blue! Custom blue for Autism auctions starting! :)

Lynnderella Light Heart Blue has a blue shimmery base with a mixture of blue hearts, circles and holographic hexes and dash of iridescent shards. I used 2 coats over Zoya Stevie and a top coat of Seche Vite.
Beautiful blue polish filled with hearts and holographic glitter and it's for a good cause, what more could you ask for! The close up shot below of all that shimmery base makes me drool. :P

This polish is limited edition with only a few in existence, but you can try your luck at bidding on a bottle through Paint It Blue! Custom blue for Autism's auctions. The auctions are live now, so make sure to check them out! Find other Lynnderella polishes for purchase on eBay. Make sure to follow Lynnderella on FacebookTwitterInstagram and Tumblr.

Zoya Stunning Collection Reviews & Swatches

This week has kind of turned into collection week! :P I have yet another new collection from Zoya to share today. If you are interested in purchasing some Zoyas (excluding the PixieDusts) be sure to check out Zoya's new Earth Day promo!

Darcy is described as a sunny yellow creme. To me it's a bit darker than "sunny yellow" on the nail, but still rather bright. I used 3 coats and no top coat.
Formula was pretty streaky at 1 and 2 coats. It evened up nicely using a thick 3rd coat though. I'm not a big yellow fan and the same goes for this color. It's a nice yellow creme if you are looking for one though. :)
Joise is a grassy green creme. All nails are 2 coats and no top coat.
If you've read my blog for awhile, I'm not the biggest fan of greens and the ones I do like are mint greens or darker greens, but I love this green. That's say a lot for me too! :P Formula was perfection and almost a one coater.
Micky is a coral creme with a very subtle shimmer. This is 3 coats with no top coat.
The shimmer in Mickey isn't that obvious on the nail, but it is there. ;) Formula was ok. I think I could have gotten away with 2 coats had I been thicker with them. Otherwise it's a nice pink that I'm glad to have in my collection now! :)
Rocky is described as a serene blue creme. All nails are 2 coats with no top coat.
Serene blue is a perfect description for Rocky. It's a beautiful blue that I think is a must in any collection. Similar to Josie, formula was wonderful and almost a one coater!
Thandie is a citrus orange creme with a subtle shimmer. This is 3 coats with no top coat.
Orange never works for my skin tone yet Thandie does! It's a "cooler" orange tone and I think that helps make it work for me. Formula wasn't as nice though. :/ It was streaky at 2 coats and took a pretty thick third coat to even out.
Yana is described as Geranium pink cream. It has the same subtle shimmer as Micky and Thandie. I used 2 coats with no top coat.
Like Serene and Josie, it's almost took just one coat to become opaque and had a great formula. The color is really beautiful and definitely a must!
Here's my fun nail art for this collection. :) I used all colors except for Yana over white and a simple dotting tool. One reason this took forever was my top coat kept dragging the design down because it wasn't fully dry :( You can see a little of this on my pinky nail, what can I say I'm impatient! :P

My favorites from this collection are Josie, Rocky, Thandie and Yana. Even though some of the colors required thicker coats they all dried with an average to quick dry time and were perfectly shiny with no top coat.
