Smitten Polish Hocus Pocus & Naiad

I meant to have this post up yesterday as a second post for the day, except a migraine got the best of me >_< Luckily, I am feeling much better and hopefully will have a second post up today. Really I make no promises though! :P

Hocus Pocus is a mixture of fine fuchsia holographic glitter in a bright purple jelly base. All nails are 3 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.

Clearly this polish is full of magic! ;) Glittery and amazing magic! Seriously there is nothing not to love about this polish and even though I think it would look great as a base color for another polish I'm not sure if I would want to cover it up. :P

Naiad is described as a medium aqua "crelly" base with purple shimmer. This is the lighter cousin of Sprites of Spring.  I used 3 coats with a top coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri.
Eeeep! I love this polish just as much I love Sprites of Spring! Sprites of Spring is darker than Naiad, so if you are looking to purchase one or the other, that's up to you. I feel justified owning both! ;) The shimmer is strong even in low light and formula is great! I did want to add that Noelie, the creator of Smitten Polish, did note on her Facebook page that both Sprites of Spring and Copper Canyon(Naiad has less of the staining pigment than Sprites of Spring does) can stain you nails. I personally didn't have a problem with any of them, but I did double up on a base coat just to be on the safe side. In case this is a problem with you Noelie offered to refund anyone that had a problem. :) Yay for awesome customer service!!

Smitten Polish can be found on Etsy. I don't see either one of these polishes stocked at this time, so make sure to follow Smitten Polish on Facebook and sign up for her newsletter for updates!

I Love Nail Polish Animal Cookie Review & Swatches

I have another fun I Love Nail Polish review for everyone today! :) I have forgotten to mention in my previous posts to make sure to check out their Facebook page (here). On their Facebook page they highlight a ton of other polish brands and great nail art designs. So be sure it check it out! :)

I Love Nail Polish Animal Cookie has a clear base with an array of pink glitters and shapes all with different sizes and hues along with a dash of white hex and sticks.
All fingers are 2 coats of Animal Cookie over 2 coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily (post here). I used no base or top coat.
Animal Cookie shared the same formula as Pumpkinhead and Goldie Boo... Boo!; it was a little thick, had an average dry time and I found it easier to dab on the glitters than brush it on. I still had no problem getting out the glitters and adore that it had a smooth finish without needing a top coat.
This color does remind me of those yummy yogurt covered animal crackers! I think Animal Cookie looks great with Aqua Lily as a base, the pink shimmer in Aqua Lily helps blend the two polishes colors together well. I also think, this manicure would be a great way to show support for Pregnancy Loss & Infant Awareness if you lack nail art skills like myself! :P

Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily is discontinued, though it is coming back this holiday season (hopefully November). You can find other Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes here and their Facebook page here.

Find I Love Nail Polish Animal Cookie and a other great "glitter bomb" polishes their on etsy hereAlso find I Love Nail Polish on Facebook here.

I Love Nail Polish Animal Cookie was sent for review, all opinions are my own.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily + Elevation Polish Stay Behind Catch A Wave

Since I got some awesome nail mail today, I decided to pair 2 of the ones I got together and make another post for the day! Stay Behind Catch A Wave is something I bought 2 of because 1 will be for a giveaway. :)

Aqua Lily is a turquoise cream with pink/purple shimmer.
All fingers except my pinky, which is 2 coats Cosmetic Arts Gray, are 2 coats of Aqua Lily over Seche Rebuild and under 1 coat of Seche Vite.
This picture is a tad lighter than the real life color but I wanted to show off the shimmer it gives off.
The color alone is beautiful, add in the shimmer and it makes it even more gorgeous!
Stay Behind Catch A Wave is described as slightly tinted blue base, 5 kinds of circle glitter (white, teal & blue), iridescent hexes, micro holographic glitter in teal and green.
All fingers have 2 coats of Stay Behind Catch A Wave over the above mentioned colors and no top coat.
So I'm sure you were wondering why I paired up a gray accent nail with Aqua Lily and the reason was to show off how amazing Stay Behind Catch A Wave is! I swatched it a handful of other colors but the one besides Aqua Lily I loved the most was gray and wanted to show it off.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily is discontinued at this time though, it is coming back in November. You can find other Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes here and their Facebook page here.

Elevation Polish's store is currently closed, it opens up on the 7th of every month at 9:10pm CST. There is both an etsy storefront that can be found here and a big cartel storefront that can be found here.  Lulu's, the creator of Elevation Polish, blog can be found here.

Edit to add: I wanted to add that I had some hiccups with the other Elevation polish I ordered, Pic De Subindex, and Lulu truly has the most amazing customer service! I know some people are hesitant to buy indies with some problems that have come up with other sellers, but you will NOT find that the case with Elevation Polish.

Cosmetic Arts polish can be found at a variety of places though, I picked up mine at Ross for $1.99.

Be sure to like me on Facebook here or follow me on GoogleFriendConnect! Once I hit 50 followers/likes combined I will be having an awesome, if I do say so myself, giveaway with Stay Behind Catch A Wave being one of the 5 indies I will be giving away. :)
