Lynnderella G. Whizard, Esq., Ground Control to Major Sloth, Happy Birthstar! & Oh Mickey! You're So Fine!

Hey everyone! Today is my birthday! :D So I figured I would show off some super duper, totally awesome Lynnderella polishes I've received lately. :P

 G. Whizard, Esq. has a clear base and is packed with blue holographic micro glitter. All nails are 2 coats with top coat.
This polish is blinding! So much so that I took a picture of it in different lighting to help you get the idea of how awesome it is. ;) I also uploaded a video on Instagram because pictures just can't do it justice. :P
Ground Control to Major Sloth contains royal blue squares and hexes, baby stars, neon blue and purple hexes, and a dash of star glitters in various colors all in a shimmery blue-purple base Here is 2 coats of Ground Control to Major Sloth over 2 coats of Avon Aurora.
Not only does this polish have the best name, it also has a super spiffy label. Not sure how sloth's in space could help us, but if they inspire polish like this I'm all for it! :P
Happy Birthstar! has a pink-blue shimmery base with pink and silver dots, micro neon purple glitters, baby stars and other star glitters in shades from red to pink. For this mani I used 3 coats of Sally Girl Luv It and 1 coat of Happy Birthstar!
Eep another awesome polish! And perfect for this post today. ;) It's got a little of everything I love, which is just the best! :)
Oh Mickey! You're So Fine!  is made with holographic dots, stars and Mickey-shaped holographic glitter in a potent (not mousey) lavender-shimmered base. Shown is 2 coats over 2 coats of China Glaze Red Satin.
Mickey glitters! How cool is that! I figured red was the best base color to make Mickey proud. ;) You can win a bottle of this polish in Love Lynnderella's Polish of the Week giveaway (running till 8/15). So make sure to enter! :)

Purchase Lynnderella polishes through Lynnderella.com. I'm not 100% if G. Whizard, Esq. or Happy Birthstar! will be for sale, though I do know Ground Control to Major Sloth will be sold under a different name (and sans the awesome slothstronaut :P ). You can also find Lynnderella Lacquers for sale through Norway Nails and Glitter Connect. Be sure to follow all the Lynnderella fan pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr.

Iridescent/Opalescent Glitter Comparison

Sorry for not posting yesterday. >_< Yesterday was just craziness happening throughout the day and I didn't have time to swatch. One thing that did happen was, yet again, my computer's hard drive has decided to throw a fit so I am using my husband's computer. If you notice the pictures look a little differently than normal that's the reason.
Ok so on to the post for today! I have a pretty huge comparison post for you all that came about after I picked up 2 different versions of Color Club Snow-Flakes around December. I certainly don't have all the iridescent/opalescent polishes on the market, but have picked up quite a few over the last few months.
All swatches in this post are 1 coat of the iridescent polish over 2 coats of Wet n Wild Ebony Hate Chris with top coat.

First up we have Color Club Snow-Flakes (glitter version) vs. Color Club Snow-Flakes (flakie version), Hard Candy Break Up and. Finger Paints Sparkle Top Coat.
Regarding the 2 versions of Color Club Snow-Flake, the flakie version I purchased at Sally's and the glitter version I purchased at TJ Maxx in a duo labeled "Winter Affair" with Gift of Sparkle. I'm not sure if the true name of the glitter version is Snow-Flakes. I have seen talk that it is Color Club Starry Temptress, but Starry Temptress appears very different in pictures I have looked up. The flakie version is a dupe for many other flakies like it, see Polish Insomniac's post here for comparison photos.
Here is Sally Hansen Rock Candy vs. Color Club Starry vs. Sally Hansen Disco Ball vs. Sally Girl So Disco (812030).
These photos are Sally Hansen Snow Globe vs. KleanColor Sugar Coat vs. China Glaze Make a Spectacle and China Glaze Luxe and Lush.
Lastly I have China Glaze Snow Globe vs Charlotte Russe Crystal AB and Revlon Heavenly vs. Deborah Lippmann Stairway to Heaven

Some of these polishes featured are discontinued and no long found in stores. :( Sorry! But I recommend looking on Amazon, eBay or blog sales to find the ones that are discontinued.

Which iridescent/opalescent glitter is your favorite?

Shimmer Polish Reviews & Swatches

I know I usually don't post on Sundays, but I meant to have this up yesterday, between making Jello eggs and pies I just didn't get a chance to. Even though I only used 2 photos per polish, this post is very picture heavy. To cut down on so many photos in one post, I made an album here where you can see additional photos of each polish. Also, my review will be at the bottom of this post, so keep scrolling down! ;)
P.S. Happy Easter!

Candace contains a mixture of black and gold holographic glitters. Except for my middle nail, I used 2 coats of Candace in a gradient over bare nail. My middle nail is 2 coats of Candace over my entire nail, again bare. All nails have a top coat of Seche Vite. (Excuse my stained nails >_< They didn't look that bad in person, but the camera likes to pick up too much sometimes. :P)
Irene is a mixture of various fine colored glitter; mainly composed of champagne gold glitter and a few fine black glitters sprinkled throughout. I used 3 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.
Jasmine has a clear base with aquamarine, light blue and green glitters and a dash of various other colored glitters. All nails are 3 coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.
Jennifer is mainly composed of light blue and periwinkle glitters, but also includes orange, pink, green and yellow glitters in various shapes and sizes. I used 2 coat of Jennifer over 2 coats of Pure Ice Last Chance and a top coat of HK Girl Top Coat.
Julie is an rainbow assortment of glitter in various shapes and sizes. All nails are 3 coats over bare nail and a top coat of Seche Vite.
Lucie contains a mixture of red and silver glitters in a clear base. All nails are 3 coats of Wet n Wild L.A. Pride with 1 coat of Lucie and a top coat of Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love.(See un-matted photos in this album)
Maria has a variety of blue glitters in a clear base. I layered Maria over Wet n Wild Fergalicious and top coat of Seche Vite. (I'm not sure why my camera picked up Fergalicious as a red/orange. It's definitely a bright pink!)
Mary is a mixture of red, black and holographic silver glitters in a sheer red base. All nails are 3 coats with a top coat of HK Girl Top Coat.
Nichole has various shapes and sizes of red, blue and silver glitters. Here I layered one coat of Nichole over 2 coats of Sally Girl Coconut with a top coat of Seche Vite.
Sarah contains teal, green, dark blue and purple glitters in a clear base. I layered 2 coats of Sarah over Cosmetic Arts Gray, on all my nails except for my index nail. My index nail is 3 coats over bare nail and all nails have a top coat of Seche Vite.
Overall, I had no issue with any of the polishes. They all had a wonderful formula: dried quickly and obviously no need to fish for glitter. All the polishes could have been opaque in 2-3 coats alone, but still provided the perfect amount of glitter in just 1 coat. There is a variety of different ways to wear each color: layered, alone, gradient, jellied, etc. So go buy a bottle and have fun!
