Marc Jacobs Beauty Nail Lacquer Blue Velvet

Happy Monday! I treated myself to a bottle of polish from the new Marc Jacobs Beauty line on Friday. It is my birthday week, so I figured it was justified. ;) I'm always a sucker for cute bottles and these really sucked me in! :P How cute is it that they were made to resemble a smile? :)

Blue Velvet is described as a deep ocean blue. All nails are 2 cots with no top coat.

I really love this color; it was one of the few that really jumped out of me in store. Honestly I was a little disappointed with the selection and excepted more than some basic cremes and a few shimmers. :/ Formula was easy to work with and while I've never personally tried to add 30 coats of top coat to any polish, I really don't think it has that much shine to it without top coat. Actually I was tempted to add top coat to it after applying it to give it more shininess. I was able to wear it for 3 days without any tip wear or chips. I'm really not 100% if I will buy more, I am tempted by a few more colors still though. :P
